Dear Student,

Welcome to Orange County Flight Center (“OCFC”), an iconic and one of the oldest flight schools in California, established in 1981, and located at John Wayne Airport, Orange County, in the southern region of California. This pioneer pilot training institution was established to fulfill the growing need for well-trained and qualified aviators in the United States and to provide aviation professionals both for ground and flight opportunities within and outside of the United States. By enrolling at OCFC, you will have made a great decision towards a bright career in aviation and studying in one of the most reputable flight schools in the world with over 180 flight training centers being currently planned to be established within the next five years within the United States, South America, regions within Europe, Asia, Africa, Korea and the Philippines. Now is the best time to be qualified as an airline pilot. As of today, over 80,000 pilots over 65 years of age are retiring or are approaching mandatory retirement and with this aging workforce, demand for pilots within North America alone exceeds 128,000 pilots. Pilot training today face a bright outlook with increasing demand for travel and record number of passengers. At the time of this writing, Air India alone has made one of the biggest aircraft orders in aviation history, purchasing 470 new planes from Boeing and Airbus. The deal – which the company says includes 400 short-haul planes, 70 long-haul planes, and 370 more planes on option. Furthermore, low-cost carrier IndiGo has placed an order for 500 Airbus A320 family aircraft in a record deal, breaking Air India’s mega-470 aircraft order with Airbus and Boeing earlier this year. Competition for qualified pilots will remain strong over the next few years and these airlines will need to hire over 10,000 pilots over a period to keep pace with growth in the aviation sector.
